RFCG Director, Simon Espley, runs a digital media specialist company called bigFIG Digital Media Ltd. For those afraid of ‘techno speak’, this means that bigFIG designs and publishes self-contained, rich multimedia, digital magazines (digimags) for download or for viewing online. No printing/paper needed if you’re looking to limit your carbon footprint.
The PLANET digimag editions are published in association with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). All PLANET digimags include information that “covers the world, exploring and investigating the environmental and lifestyle concerns of our time – climate change, population impacts, energy, transport, food, society, culture and of course biodiversity and Earth’s great wild landscapes.” The next edition is set for online release in December 2010. The work of the RFCG and head fieldworker in Uganda, Benson Bamatura, was featured in the October 2010 5th edition. You can read the article by clicking here: Climate Hero Article
