Professor Ernst Kruger , who is a founder member and director of the Rare Finch Conservation Group , has been invited to speak at the 4th International Finch Convention in Australia . The convention , which is hosted by the Queensland Finch Society, will be held in Brisbane from 29 April to 1 May and finch enthusiasts from all over the world will converge at this prestigious event.
Professor Ernst Kruger has been internationally recognised as one of the world’s leading aviculturists on African finches. Conservation offices in South Africa have often used his facilities to upskill and train their staff on how to identify many of the various finch species . Ernst’s responsibality within the RFCG is to manage all the statistical data obtained from the field reports in Uganda, as well as to prepare the necessary academic reports for the RFCG sponsors
With no less than 9 speakers ( 6 Australian and 3 International speakers ) the convention promises to be a major hit with finch enthusiasts.
