The RFCG and our virgin blog

9 Sep

Welcome aboard the Rare Finch Conservation Group’s blog!

We’re new to the blogosphere, we’re blog virgins so to speak, and we hope that all our initial blogging hiccups will go unnoticed.

Allow us to introduce ourselves: We are the Rare Finch Conservation Group (RFCG), a non-governmental organisation that began in 2005, with the aim to engage bird enthusiasts from around the world in the intricacies of conservation, ornithology and aviculture. The RFCG is based in South Africa, although our projects are sans borders. Our latest mission is to find the elusive Shelley’s Crimsonwing in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Uganda.

We hope to engage you in our latest projects and nurture the survival of finches in the wild through our blog.

Enjoy!
